Houston Ebony Opera Guild is poised to present Madame Butterfly on Friday, August 24th and Saturday, August 25th at Miller Outdoor Theatre. Standing at the helm of the effort is Maestro Willie Anthony Waters, the opera’s conductor. With more than a decade of service to one of Houston’s opera treasures, Maestro Waters remains passionate and driven. Being one of few accomplished African American opera professionals in the United Stated, he is the author of many “firsts”. Still, he simply wants to be deserving of his title and dedicated to the change he hopes to bring to arguably the finest of the fine arts. Meet Maestro Willie Anthony Waters!

David Lee Brewer is a home-grown artist that Houston is very proud of. Brewer is an International Opera Singer, Actor, Publicist, Artistic Developer, former professional ballet and modern dancer/choreographer and Manager. He has developed and guided such stars as Beyonce Knowles and Kelly Rowland. Now residing in Berlin, his travels have bestowed upon him a wealth of knowledge, patience and practice.
